A Queenslander Reconnected
Built in 1936, this Edge Hill Queenslander had plenty of space but did not function as one connected family home. Without an internal stair, daily life happened almost entirely upstairs, while much of the ground floor remained underused. A cramped family bathroom, awkward laundry and exposed wet-season access were also becoming harder to manage as the clients’ children grew.
The design brings the levels together, creates a more practical everyday arrival and gives previously overlooked spaces a clear purpose, while retaining the character, breezes and relaxed tropical quality the family already loves.
